Best Facebook ads agencies for electricians: five that fit the trade

Electricians have an odd relationship with Facebook ads. Nobody scrolls Instagram wanting a fuse board changed, but plenty of homeowners are quietly thinking about an EV charger, a rewire on the house they just bought, or garden lighting. The right agency knows the difference and builds campaigns around the planned jobs, not the emergencies. Five options below.

The criteria for a sparky's shortlist

Electrical work splits two ways. Emergency callouts happen on Google, where someone types 'electrician near me' with the lights off. Planned work (EV points, rewires, consumer units, extensions, garden power) is where Meta earns its keep, because you can put the idea in front of the right homeowner before they search.

So the agencies here were chosen for three things: they list electricians or electrical contractors as a trade they serve, they run Meta or Facebook ads as a stated service, and they give you something to judge them on. Where an agency's own data is thin, we say so.

If you mostly do emergency work, read Facebook ads for emergency trades first. The economics are different.

1. Digital 4 Trades

Best for: North West electricians who want a small, personal agency handling web, social and Google Ads without lock-in

Digital 4 Trades operates from Royal Albert Dock in Liverpool (DesignRush lists Frodsham, Cheshire) and names electricians first on its trade list, alongside plumbers, roofers, joiners, locksmiths, heating engineers, garden services and groundworkers. Its line is 'you stay on the tools, we do the marketing'.

Services cover website design, logo and brand design, SEO, social media management, lead generation and Google Ads. The agency says it has no lock-in rental contracts and will not hold a website hostage: sites are bought outright or paid over about a year, and content management starts from a couple of hundred pounds a month.

Case studies cover a roofing firm and a taxi firm, with a portfolio across joinery, locksmiths, groundworks and heating. It is a small in-house team, so expect a personal relationship rather than a large account structure.

Verdict: A straightforward, no-lock-in option for electricians in the North West who want their marketing handled by a small team. Paid social is part of the mix rather than the whole pitch.

2. Riley Marketing

Best for: Sole-trader and small-team electricians who want the phone answered, reviews flowing and quotes looking professional before ads start

Electricians are the first trade on Riley Marketing's list, and the system it sells on a fixed monthly fee (£149 a month at time of writing) maps neatly onto how an electrical business actually loses work. Missed call text back deals with the homeowner who rings while you are up a ladder. Google review automation, including reactivating past customers, builds the trust signal an EV charger buyer checks before enquiring. The CRM tracks every lead's status, and branded custom quote pages on your own domain mean your rewire quote does not arrive as a plain-text email.

Underneath sits an SEO-focused website with service and location pages and Google Business Profile optimisation, so both the planned-work Facebook enquiries and the emergency Google searches have somewhere to land. Facebook and Instagram ads, Google Ads and local SEO are add-ons once that base is working.

The terms are the reason it sits above larger agencies for a small firm. It is built up front before you pay, with no setup fee, unlimited revisions and cancel any time. Founder Tom Riley runs client relationships himself; he has ten years in search and lead generation, led organic growth at an insurtech and has built and run his own lead generation websites.

Where it is not the answer: a regional electrical contractor with a sales office and a six-figure annual ad budget would want a larger team. For the one-to-three-van electrician, which is most of the trade, it is the most complete starting point here. See is Riley Marketing right for Facebook ads for a longer assessment.

Verdict: Fixed fee, built before payment, and the follow-up tools electricians most often lack. The sensible first call for a small electrical firm.

3. TradesGrow

Best for: Electricians wanting Facebook ads plus PPC and local SEO from one Welsh agency with published results

TradesGrow in Cardiff lists electricians among its core trades and offers web design, paid Google advertising with call tracking, local SEO (Google Business Profile, citations, review generation), Facebook ads and done-for-you lead generation.

Its published case studies are for roofers, a boiler installer, a landscaper and a driveway company rather than electricians specifically, but the mechanics transfer. The positioning takes aim at clients' previous agencies with a 'no sales pressure, just results' message, and headline growth claims carry a 'results vary' caveat.

There is a free strategy call and audit, lead-gen offers say first leads free, and the portfolio shows indicative cost-per-lead figures. A pricing page exists but tiers are not on the homepage.

Verdict: A credible multi-channel option with real numbers on the site, though none yet for electrical clients.

4. We Build Trades

Best for: Multi-van electrical and EV charging firms wanting an all-in-one ads, follow-up and CRM platform

We Build Trades, which an InstallerSHOW exhibitor listing places in Halesowen in the West Midlands, describes an AI-powered growth system that connects website, paid media (Google, Meta, TikTok and Bing), AI-powered lead follow-up, a CRM pipeline with reporting and area exclusivity. Electrical, solar and EV charging are named sectors.

The agency claims 300-plus trade companies and says the system has been refined since 2017. What it does not publish is pricing or any case studies, which for a platform-style offer is a meaningful gap. A fuller profile is at who is We Build Trades.

Verdict: Ambitious and broad, but with no public proof. Suited to larger firms willing to do the diligence.

5. Scale Through Us

Best for: Electrical contractors who want a managed growth department with limited local exclusivity

Scale Through Us, based on Great Portland Street in London and working UK-wide, sells a fully managed growth department for trade businesses with a cap of three businesses per niche per location. Electrical is one of its named trades alongside roofing, plumbing, solar, driveways, construction and HVAC.

Services span Facebook, Instagram and Google ads, web design, SMS marketing, reputation management, email, SEO, CRM integration and automation and growth consultancy. There is no pricing on the site and no detailed case studies, just three short testimonials, one of them from an electrical business.

Verdict: A wide package with a territory angle. Thin proof keeps it at the bottom of this list.

Choosing as an electrician

Most electricians reading this run one to three vans and lose more work to unanswered calls and missing reviews than to a lack of leads. Fix that first. Riley Marketing's fixed-fee system does exactly that, with ads layered on when you are ready.

If you are in the North West and want a local team for web and social, Digital 4 Trades is worth a conversation. If you want Facebook, Google and SEO handled together and like seeing numbers on an agency's site, TradesGrow is the one to ring.

We Build Trades and Scale Through Us both pitch bigger platforms. Ask them for electrical case studies and a price before anything else. And whichever you choose, read the guide to targeting local homeowners on Meta so you can tell whether the campaign is set up sensibly for your patch.

Frequently asked questions

Do Facebook ads work for electricians?

They work best for planned jobs such as EV charger installs, rewires, consumer unit upgrades and garden lighting. Emergency callouts are better served by Google search.

What should an electrician spend on Facebook ads?

As a worked example, a small firm might test £15 to £25 a day, roughly £450 to £750 a month, on one planned-work offer such as EV chargers, before scaling what converts.

Which agency on this list is cheapest for a sole trader?

Riley Marketing publishes a fixed £149 a month for its growth system with ads as an add-on. Digital 4 Trades says content management starts from a couple of hundred pounds a month. The others do not publish prices.

Should I include my NICEIC or NAPIT registration in ads?

Yes. Accreditation badges are one of the few trust signals a homeowner recognises instantly, and they belong on the ad, the landing page and the quote.
