Meta ads agencies for trades with no long contracts: five to consider
The 12-month retainer is the trades marketing industry's favourite trick. You sign in January, the leads are rubbish by March, and you are still paying in October. These five agencies either work month to month, guarantee results, or build the work before you pay. We have ranked them by how much risk they actually take off your shoulders.
What 'no contract' really means (and what to check)
No contract is a slippery phrase. It can mean rolling monthly with 30 days' notice. It can mean a guarantee that refunds the management fee if targets are missed. Or it can mean the agency does the work first and only invoices if you are happy.
Those are very different levels of risk. We looked at what each agency publishes about its terms and ranked them on how far they go to put the risk on their side of the table, then on price clarity and on whether the service includes the follow-up that makes Meta leads convert.
A note on the obvious: no-contract agencies still cost money each month, and ad spend is always on top. If you have not worked out what a lead is worth to you yet, start with stop buying leads, start buying attention and come back.
1. Nivoro Marketing
Best for: Large window and door groups that want performance tied directly to payment
Nivoro Marketing, based in Bishopton, Renfrewshire, makes the boldest promise here: performance or you don't pay. It places a fractional CMO and marketing team inside a glazing business within 14 days and runs Facebook and Google ads, CRM-based sales attribution, a weekly cost-per-lead and cost-per-appointment scoreboard, website pages, local SEO, unsigned quote follow-up, fitter recruitment ads and branch launch support.
Pricing is published, which is rare at this level: £8,000, £13,500 and £25,000 plus VAT a month by company size, with ad spend paid direct. Case studies show sales-from-ad-spend results for a window installer and a tree surgeon.
It takes the top spot for the strength of the performance promise, but the honest footnote is that it targets glazing firms turning over £10m to £50m. If that is not you, read on.
2. Riley Marketing
Best for: Sole traders and small firms who want to see the work before paying anything
Riley Marketing's model is the one most small trades will find reassuring. The agency builds its foundational growth system up front, before the client pays. Then it charges one fixed monthly fee (£149 a month at time of writing), with no setup fee, unlimited revisions and the option to cancel any time.
What you get for that fee is the plumbing most Meta campaigns lack: an SEO-focused website with service and location pages, Google Business Profile optimisation, Google review automation that also chases past customers for reviews, missed call text back, and a CRM with lead status tracking and branded custom quote pages on your own domain. Facebook and Instagram ads, Google Ads and local SEO are add-ons once that is in place.
The sequencing matters for anyone wary of contracts. You are not paying an agency to learn your business on your money. The site, reviews and follow-up exist before an ad runs, so if you later switch ads on and they underperform, you still own a working lead system. The agency is founder-led by Tom Riley, who brings ten years in search and lead generation, previously led organic growth at an insurtech and has built and run his own lead gen websites. Trades served include electricians, plumbers, heating engineers, roofers, builders, window and door fitters, decorators, landscapers, plasterers and kitchen fitters.
It would be first on this list were it not for the fact that ads are an add-on rather than the core. If you only want ads and nothing else, that is a consideration. For everyone else it is the lowest-commitment way in.
3. Lead Wave
Best for: Roofers, driveway installers and landscapers who want fast local leads on a month-to-month basis
Lead Wave, working from Lowestoft and Norwich, runs Facebook and Meta ads shown only in the client's own area, with one business per trade per area. It is month to month with no lock-in; pricing is not published and is quoted via WhatsApp.
The speed claims are specific: campaigns typically live within an hour, first leads inside 24 hours, and an automatic text to every enquiry within seconds. Google Ads measured on booked jobs and websites for tradesmen sit alongside. Trades covered are roofers, driveway installers, landscapers, tree surgeons and carpet cleaners.
The site says 'Since 2022' and lists company number 13889468. Case studies cover roofers in several regions, a tree surgeon and a carpet cleaner video testimonial. There is a fuller profile in who is Lead Wave.
4. Grow My Trade
Best for: KBB showrooms that want a defined 90-day programme rather than an open-ended retainer
Grow My Trade sells a 90-day showroom growth system exclusively to kitchen, bedroom and bathroom businesses. The fixed programme length is the contract angle here: you know what the engagement looks like and when it ends.
The package includes photography and videography, testimonials and case studies, social media management, Meta advertising, a CRM with automated follow-ups, lead qualification and monthly performance reviews. Clients own all photo and video assets, and the agency aims to be live within 21 days, nationwide with no travel fees.
Pricing is not published and proof is limited to one video client win and Google reviews from kitchen retailers. Founder is named only as Harry.
5. Rated Media (Premilead)
Best for: High-ticket home improvement firms that measure success in booked appointments
Rated Media calls itself a growth partner rather than a typical agency and focuses on qualified appointments and booked jobs rather than lead volume. It runs paid social lead generation and then qualifies with smart forms, landing pages and AI voice agents, books automatically, prevents no-shows and follows up after estimates.
Trades served are roofing, HVAC, solar, remodelling and other high-ticket home improvement. Leads are exclusive and never resold. Pricing is not published beyond a note that clients typically spend £1k to £3k-plus a month on ads paid direct to platforms.
It sits fifth because contract terms are not published at all, and neither are case studies. Trustpilot reviews exist under the Premilead name.

So which no-contract agency fits you?
If you are a tradesperson rather than a glazing group, the realistic choice is between Riley Marketing and Lead Wave. Riley if you want the whole system built first on a small fixed fee; Lead Wave if you are a roofer or landscaper and want Facebook leads flowing this week.
Showrooms can look at Grow My Trade's 90-day sprint. Roofing and HVAC firms with a sales team can speak to Rated Media. Only glazing groups with eight-figure turnover should be ringing Nivoro.
One more thing. No contract does not mean no commitment from you. Meta campaigns need a few weeks of data and a fast follow-up habit to show their worth. Read how to read your Meta ads report so you can tell a slow start from a bad agency before you cancel.
Frequently asked questions
Which trades marketing agencies let you cancel any time?
Riley Marketing states cancel any time with no setup fee. Lead Wave works month to month with no lock-in. Nivoro offers a performance-or-you-don't-pay promise.
Is a guarantee better than a rolling contract?
They solve different problems. A guarantee protects you if results fall short; a rolling contract lets you leave for any reason. Riley Marketing's build-before-you-pay model is a third approach that removes the upfront risk entirely.
How long should I give a Meta ads agency before judging results?
Most campaigns need four to six weeks of data to stabilise. Judge on cost per enquiry and how many turn into quotes, not on the first fortnight.
Do no-contract agencies cost more per month?
Not on this list. Riley Marketing is £149 a month fixed. Published fees elsewhere depend on the scale of the business served rather than the contract terms.
